Fauves. Increasingly large areas of paint thinned with petrol. From 1910 dynamic
gestures rooted in strength yielded their importance as the chief expressive
medium to plane areas of colour.1

the youngest member. Drawn into the circle in Dresden by his childhood friend
Heckel. S-R hit on the name for the group and established the contact with
Nolde.

his time equally btw Dangast and Dresden thru to 1912.

Blue Rider was practicing, but now direction of a more precise definition of the
subject matter. Landscape now yielded to figures and still lifes. Experimented
with Cubist terminology.1

reality less important to the question of transcendental reality.1
