Huelsenbeck arrives in Zurich. The word dada (infantile sound) is discovered in the dictionary. First Performance of the Cabaret Voltaire on the 5th.

The publication "Cabaret Voltaire" appears. Exhibition at the Cabaret showing Arp, Janco, Macke, Modigliani, Nadelmann, Oppenheimer, Picasso, O. v. Rees, Slodki, Segal and others.
July
First Dada Evening on the 14th in the Zunthaus zur Waag. Tzara reads his first Dada Manifesto. His book La premiere aventure celest de Mr. Antipyrine with colored woodcuts by Janco is published in the "Collection Dada."

Huelsenbeck's "Phantastische Gebete (Fantastic Prayers) with woodcuts by Arp published in Collection Dada.
